Episode 21: What’s Happening to Marriage and Religious Liberty?

A Conversation with Andrew T. Walker of the ERLC

If you are like a lot of Christians—or even conservative folks, you’re blown away by how quickly marriage and religious liberty have seemed to crumble in recent years. What are we to make of it all in light of the seemingly constant pressure to be made to care?

Episode 006 (18)

In this episode I share a conversation with Andrew T. Walker of the Ethics and Religious Liberty Committee of the Southern Baptist Convention. He is also the co-author of the book Marriage Is in which he argues marriage is not up for debate.

We talk about why the assault on marriage is taking place, how it all came about, and where it is headed.

Most importantly, I share this interview to equip you to live an authentic life with abundant faith even though much of today’s culture in America may say that you are a freak for doing so.

You are not alone.

Never forget it.

Question: What part of the interview helped the most? How did it sharpen your understanding of the faith challenges we face today? Share your thoughts by clicking here.

The Southern Baptist Convention misled people when it comes to the killing of unborn children, according to a Christian teacher who followed their leading after Roe v. Wade 1973–stating that “Abortion is wrong, except in cases of rape, incest and the life of the mother.” Am I wrong?

I am a little disappointed in the lack of historical context, he covered it a little, but not much. Going back to the fall if Rome and Greece, they were both brought down in part by gross immorality. The breakdown of the family, specifically, and the promotion and practice if homosexual culture.

Another thing that was neglected is the deliberate promotion of breaking down the family by Fabian Socialists, such as The Rockefellers, the Carnegies, who also were eugenicists. Their foundations continue their “work”. Look up Alan Watt on YouTube ( not Watts, he’s a different guy). He’s a social historian and points out how we have been socially engineered by TV and movies, brainwashed into the udea that divirce us normal and love never lasts. There are the songs also that were brainwashing us from the 60’s with the same ideas. Decades before this Lenin and Stalin stated they would destroy America from within. Destruction if the family was one of their tactics. They have succeeded. This isn’t something we all fell into accidentally, it has been deliberate and planned and Americans have been too unaware to notice.

    • Thanks for the comment! Blame me for any limitations as I led him with my questions. We had limited time to talk so couldn’t unpack everything. The family is at the center of everything and always has been. Thanks for engaging in the battle!
